The difference between Santak UPS and EPS
Time:2018-10-02    Source:    Views:2669
A few years ago, Shante UPS seemed to be a high-tech device that only big companies could afford. But with the continuous development of technology and the continuous reduction of costs, Shante UPS began to gradually enter ordinary homes. Nowadays, the medium sized supermarket, even the student hostel, is using UPS power. Because of the lack of knowledge about UPS, most people can only use it as a spare battery, but in fact, its role is far more than that.
The difference between Santak UPS and EPS
I believe that those who actually bought UPS must have heard of EPS. What is the difference between the two?
Simply put, EPS is a simple group of batteries, through the distribution cabinet automatic switch or manual operation between the market and battery power switching. When the power supply is running normally, the circuit system will normally use the power supply while charging the EPS battery pack. When the city power is cut off, the city power supply is disconnected manually or automatically, connected to the EPS battery, and the battery is used to continue to supply power to the equipment.
This process involves the rectification and inversion of electricity (AC rectifier into DC, stored in the battery; when used, DC inverter into AC, power supply network operation) and conversion. The shortest automatic conversion process can be completed in two or three seconds. But this kind of conversion, will certainly cause the entire circuit to have an instantaneous power failure, some precision instruments and equipment will cause power failure data loss.
The Shante UPS power supply avoids the instant of power failure, so it has its own Chinese name - uninterruptible power supply. That is to say, the conversion speed between the battery and the battery is very fast, which does not affect the normal power supply of the circuit. Initially, this function was achieved by relays and capacitors, which automatically discharged in milliseconds after power failure, during which the relays automatically switched on and off at microsecond speeds. But this is extremely demanding for capacitors and relays, relay contacts are often made of pure gold or silver, so the price of the past UPS is often frightening.
Today's UPS is increasingly using electronic conversion to replace expensive relays, but the stability is far from as good as relays. So now some communication departments, such as telecommunications, Unicom, or banks, still use relays for switching.
In terms of price, the two party is naturally not on one level.
The role of Santak UPS
1, stable voltage: the voltage in the power grid will inevitably be affected by external factors and produce fluctuations. For some more sophisticated instruments, voltage instability symbolizes a reduction in the life of expensive machines, so it is necessary to introduce a device that can stabilize the voltage. In the UPS access circuit, the current flows into the UPS first and then flows through the UPS battery to flow into the circuit system. The voltage of Santak UPS power supply is relatively stable, generally speaking, the fluctuation will not exceed 2V.
2. Power failure protection: This is the main function of UPS mentioned above. The zero-conversion time that can be switched into battery power supply instantly after power failure will not cause power failure and will not cause the equipment in the circuit to be disturbed by power failure.
3, over voltage protection: in the first item, we talked about the fluctuation of voltage. However, if the voltage fluctuation is too large - too high or too low, Shante UPS power will automatically disconnect the market, using battery packs to power.
4, stable frequency: in addition to voltage, UPS can also protect the frequency in the circuit. All electrical appliances in China are marked, the applicable frequency is 50Hz, but the frequency of the city power grid is also likely to fluctuate. But after accessing UPS, the power released from the battery pack can be stabilized to 50Hz.
