UPS power supply system, as a high-tech product developed to meet the demand of power market, has obvious power maintenance function: when the power supply is cut off, it continuously supplies power to the load; when the power supply is unstable, it can prevent the load from being damaged by undervoltage and surge impact, and improve the quality of power supply comprehensively; when the power supply system (including UPS) is faulty, it can give negative effect. Load (especially computer and network system) provides a stable working environment for the load with comprehensive maintenance and protection against overload, short circuit and battery overload.
With the IT system gradually moving towards centralized management, the application of UPS power maintenance system in enterprises will be more and more deepened. The application of UPS will change from single machine to redundant structure, from dependability to availability, from simple power supply system to ensuring the change of IT operation environment. With the development of information technology, electronic technology and control technology, various advanced technologies have been widely used in the design, development and consumption process of UPS. UPS technology will show the following six trends.
One is intellectualization.
After analyzing and synthesizing all kinds of information, the intelligent system should not only complete the control function of UPS corresponding local normal operation, but also complete the real-time monitoring of UPS in operation, stop the analysis and disposal of important data information in the circuit, and get the functions of whether the local circuits work normally or not; when UPS breaks out, it can stop the analysis and diagnose in time according to the test results. The location of the fault is given and the disposal method is given. The necessary emergency maintenance and control actions are taken in time according to the needs of the site to prevent the expansion of the affected area of the fault. The necessary self-maintenance is completed, which has the function of exchanging information and can input information to or obtain information from the computer at any time.
Second, Digitalization
UPS uses the latest digital signal controller (DSP) to digitize the Hull sensor, and completes 100% digital operation of UPS system. The redundancy system of multiple microprocessors is also adopted, and multiple microprocessors with independent power supply are used to control rectifiers, inverters and internal static bypass, thus improving the digitalization level and reliability of the system.
Third, high frequency
The first generation of UPS is controlled silicon, the second generation is high power transistor or field effect transistor, and the third generation is IGBT (insulated gate bipolar transistor). The switching speed of high power transistors or FETs is one order of magnitude higher than that of SCR, and the current capacity and speed of IGBT power devices are much larger and faster than that of high power transistors or FETs, which makes the working frequency of power conversion circuits up to 50 kHz. With the improvement of the frequency of the converter circuit, the inductance, capacitance, noise and volume used for filtering are greatly reduced, and the UPS efficiency, dynamic response characteristics and control accuracy are greatly improved.
Fourth, redundancy parallel technology
Through the development of new application technology, multi-module redundancy and parallel operation in UPS can be accomplished without additional central control components, load sharing, automatic load transfer when a module presents problems, maintenance can be hot plug-and-pull, greatly improving the reliability of power supply of a single UPS. In addition, the redundant operation of the system composed of several UPS, if a single UPS breaks down, it will be shut down immediately, and other UPS systems will automatically bear all the load, which will not have any impact on the load.
Fifth, integration
With the development of information technology, the application scope of power supply maintenance is expanding and requests are progressing from time to time. It is difficult for UPS to reach these requirements alone. It is necessary to stop controlling the links touched by the whole power supply system. UPS has developed from the pure backup power supply technology of initial equipment maintenance and system maintenance to today's integrated application of information maintenance, intelligent management and whole computer room. The connotation of UPS has been extended to power generation, distribution, transformation, discontinuous power supply, computer room, power equipment, power cable, data wiring, environmental monitoring and system management. It is not the original UPS, but the UPS equipment is only the central component of the system.
From the point of view of UPS power supply technology, on the basis of optimizing the output characteristics of power supply from time to time, the study of power input characteristics makes EMC and low harmonic pollution become important indicators. Harmonic disposal technology and EMC design can improve the load characteristics of power supply to power grid, reduce the load characteristics of other equipment, improve the source effect of power supply, and the concept of green power source is paid attention to at the beginning. Heavy. With the development of electronic technology and computer technology, besides greatly improving the power performance of UPS, its network management can complete remote monitoring. Digital power control technology makes the product have customized function. Intelligent design makes it a highly intelligent monitoring, controllable and self-adapting device.
From the perspective of informatization, UPS has developed from focusing on electrical performance indicators, reliability and quality to unified specifications and standards, adopting modularization and parallel redundancy technology, systematically considering various power supply, power supply equipment and links as well as system TCO, and improving the reliability, availability, manageability, maintainability and scalability of the whole system touched by UPS power consumption. Integrated application provides users with a sound and effective power application processing plan. This expansion direction conforms to the needs of information technology. However, for UPS manufacturers, especially domestic manufacturers, there is still much work to be done to meet the change of this demand.
Sixth, greening
